Rams: As the majority of my breeding ewes are descendants of the Dailley flock, my senior rams are two wonderful lads with Flett bloodlines; Cedar Haven Forrest and Puddleduck Bjorn. Breeding Ewes:I have a wonderful flock of Shetland ewes that have all given me well-structured, true-to-nature, heavily fleeced lambs. Many of the lamb fleeces have been exceptional, and varied from “kindly”, double coated, long stapled, fine and silky, crimpy and/or with lots of luster. I tend to breed for Moorit or Black, but am happily surprised with a variety of color the Shetlands are known for. Lambs:We had an exceptional lambing season last year with a little something for everyone. Parting is such sweet sorrow … I love all of my sheep but to continue our breeding program, I have to let some of them go. Inquiries are welcome. |
